How to Be Happy in the Present Moment . Most of us believe that happiness will come to us once we attain a certain goal (promotion, car, house, etc.), destination (moving to another city, vacation, etc.) or after making major life changes. Happiness always seems to be right in front of us… just out of reach. The truth is this type of thinking is wrong and is doomed to make us feel disappointed once we have attained the objects of our desire. Oh, it might make us feel good/happy for a little while but this feeling will ultimately be short lived and not as intense as we had initially imagined. Why? I am one of those women who experienced emotional and physical abuse. I am sharing my story because I want other people to learn from my experiences and teach them how to stop or to prevent it. It is normal for us to be weak but we must always remember we should not let other people turn us down.They have no right to hurt us either physically or emotionally even they are our husbands or wives.
